Dangers of Blogs

The dangers of blogs.
My boss Googles my name, and the other intern's name. I believe it becomes the practice of most firms out there. So thank goodness i have nothing personal or derogatory written down here.
I found out my boss manage to stumble onto one of my cliques blogs and what was written in there wasn't exactly for nice -_-
So guys, please remember to protect your privacy!

I have a question which i hope someone could enlighten me. What makes a book canon to the bible and what doesn't? I.E. why is the book of Enoch not included in the bible? The book of Enoch shows the downfall of Lucifer but non of the books in the bible do. So yes, the burning question is, what makes certain books canon to the bible and certain books non-canon or heresy?

The Government did the right thing.

Abdullah did the right thing, never thought he would have to guts to do it. REAL inflation is at an all time high, please don't take whatever number reported by Bank Negara as the real inflation cause its bullshit. If the government had not done anything, and continue to subsidize fuel, electricity & commodities, a repeat of 98 would happen. And heck once again Malaysian economy would be left behind compare to the other Asian countries.

Now is the perfect time for the government to cut all subsidies and lift ceiling prices when everyone else in the region is doing it. It surprise me that Abdullah made such an unpopular BUT NECESSARY move. Kudos goes to him. Although the lay person on the street might not understand it and complain, it was the right thing to do for the Malaysian economy, for the sake of keeping the economy competitive.
There are jokes about our Malaysian fisherman whom gets M$2.5k diesel subsidy a month and instead of fishing, they just sell diesel to Thailand. Our fishermen have forgotten how to fish.

And then there is the Independent Power Producers (IPP) whom have a one sided deal with Tenaga Bhd which requires Tenaga to buy electricity from them even when the price is much higher than the cost needed for Tenaga to produce the electricity, or even when Tenaga has ample electricity. All these one sided deals was done under the previous administration. And the contract didn't had a renegotiation clause so the only way to balance things out and be fair is to slap those IPP with windfall taxes. Once again, KUDOS Abdullah.

Overall, all these subsidies cuts and lifting of ceiling price would definitely make Malaysia more competitive.
And which Vietnam being one of the worst performing markets this year (54% drop in their market) and Pakistan suffering too, foreign direct investments (FDI) would definitely increase in Malaysia.

But yes people, its burdensome, but in the long-run it will be worth it, a caveat though, the government should be very transparent with where the money from subsidies are going. A good idea is the construction sector as its suffering from high commodity price.
AND BLOODY HELL. TIME TO MAKE PETRONAS STATEMENTS PUBLIC! God knows how much went to Abdullah's and Mathatir's cronies.

Goodbyes Ain't Easy

Ah, Vancouver what a beautiful city. Lots of greens and beautiful architecture, a mixture of nature and urbanization. Weather there is also slightly better than Toronto, taxes is also much lower- making shopping and eating cheaper, to top it off, they have a huge ass park as big as the city, what is there not to love about Vancouver. No wonder it is always rated among the top 3 most livable cities in the world.
No, I'm not going to miss Vancouver much. I don't really care about living in one of the most livable cities in the world or a shit hole like Zimbabwe what i would miss is you guys. Even until the last moment before i step foot on the plane all of you thought I was happy to leave and get on with my life. All your tearful goodbyes seem like they were falling on deaf ears. I acted like I was okay, like it was just another phase in life, like i know so well that people come and go and i am already ready for it. Well, I thought I was until i realize i wont be seeing you guys again. And then it dawn on me, you guys were like family, an awesome bunch, people that i would like to have life long contacts with, even thought the only friend i have a life long contact with is Ian (my best friend).

These 5 months of just hanging out, eating and traveling together had made us tight. I really appreciate the company, the laughters, the jokes and would greatly miss all of them. Too bad none of you would ever know how I really feel. All those stupid pictures that we took in Vancouver and all those Camwhore pictures would always bring a smile to my face.
I would miss taking group pictures together when old couples would ask us to say "Cheese" and we would laugh because it sounded so bloody corny and old school.
And not to mention our larger group which is also filled with awesome people.
On that faithful day, at the eleventh hour, i decided to skip my class and was given the opportunity to meet you guys, it was one of the best decisions that iIve made here in Toronto. So now, we would be going our separate ways, each returning to our own countries, who knows this may or may not be the end. Maybe just maybe, one day we would all meet up again somewhere. When the time comes on that day, drinks are on me. In the mean time, i guess this is when we say our goodbyes. Continue having an awesome time traveling the west coast, how i wish i am there with you guys. But I'm always too practical, always was and always will be, I chose doing my internship over spending more time with the bunch of you. Maybe i should have taken Serena's advice and be less practical this time around. Until the next time we meet again, goodbye.
But i take solace in knowing that i would be returning to things that i love. My family, Serena, my friends and good old Melbourne where the sun is bright and sunny. I can't believe i wrote such an emo post, usually i'm only comfortable bearing my heart and soul to Serena and maybe a few close friends.

Picture of the day:
I'm still strong alright. Don't mess with me.
PS: My work at JP Morgan starts at 7.15 and ends at 6. Oh boy, things are going to be rough.

DONE!

I'm finally done with my exams! DONE NO MORE WEEEE~~
So let me tell you about how my week has been other than studies.

I watched Harold and Kumar 2: Escape from Guantanamo Bay and honestly its my first time seeing Punani being display on the big screen, no wonder its rated R.
Perverseness aside, the show was hilarious, and i enjoyed it.

On my way back from the show.
Gus, "Hey Jian, look to your left."
Turns to my left and what I saw was also another first.
A guy giving another guy a blow job, and 3 voyeurs enjoying the show, or waiting for their turn, i can't tell. Its like, they weren't stealthy at all. I have nothing against gays and blow jobs, but please do it somewhere more discreet not at the corner of the park which is so visible. But i guess, that's why Toronto is known as one of the most tolerant places in the world, giving a public blow job WON'T land you in jail.

You see this everywhere you go. Positive Space.

PS:Changed my blog skin, I was going to go for something other than the one supplied by blogspot but i just can't get it right. I keep getting it all messed up. Maybe you someone can teach me. Going to get a chatterbox soon again, in the mean time, use the comments (:

Of Gym

Ah, so 3 exams down, 2 more to go. It seems that every student in my residence is done with exams and its only me being cooped up in my room studying day and night-_-

Just outside, students play toilet horse shoe, touch football, or just hanging out. It gets pretty hard to concentrate -___- But today, it was cold and gloomy, I never though I would be grateful for a gloomy day (:

My routine has been study, sleep & gym. Speaking about gym, how many of you guys wanted to chat up that hot guy/girl at your local gym? Well here are some lines to help you out (the work below is not mine and has been taken out from a fitness blog).

To chat up a hot guy at the gym.
  1. “You got a new iPod. Should I get the 10 gig or the 30 gig?”
  2. “Can you close the bracelet for me?”
  3. “Your gloves are nice. Where did you get them?”
  4. “Do you think that class instructor good?”
  5. “Can you teach me how to use this machine?”
  6. “Do you know any workout to reduce the breast size? Mine is a bit too big to handle.”
  7. “I never do this, but I think you’re cute and I got tired of waiting for you to talk to me.”
  8. “That’s a stain on my bra top, isn’t obvious?” (pointing to the breast)
  9. “They say missionary position help men to work out the chest and triceps, is it true?
  10. “Is that a train in your pants, or are you just happy to see me noticing how big your dick is?”

To chat up a hot girl at the gym.
  1. “Excuse me, but I think I dropped something! My jaw.”
  2. “Do you have a map? I just keep on getting lost in your eyes.”
  3. “I’m afraid that I have to ask you to leave. Your sexy body is making other girls here look really bad.”
  4. “Can I take your picture with my camera phone? I want Santa Claus to know exactly what I want for this Christmas.”
  5. “I may not be the best-looking guy in here, but I’m the only one talking to you.”
  6. “Are your legs tired? You have been running in my mind all day.”
  7. “I’ve got a 6 inch tongue and please teach me how to use it.”
  8. “Hello. If I tell you my balls are bigger than my biceps, will you believe?”
  9. “Hi, my name’s [name]. Remember it, you’ll be screaming it later tonight.”
  10. “Nice legs you have! What time do they open?”

Of Residence Life.

I don't know how could people study here in residence. Just when you are in the mood to study, you look outside and you see people just hanging out in the quad, playing ultimate frisbie and soccer. Its almost impossible to have to will to continue studying. So residence life has almost come to an end. How do i find it? It's been heck of an experience. My dining hall, doesn't it look like something out of Harry Potter movies?
Another hilarious on-going thing in my residence is the problem with washroom. My floor has 2 really smelly people. One of them is an one athlete so he constantly smells like sweat. Another has a bowel problem or something cause her poo smells really horrible, its like the worst smelling poo ever. It takes a day to get rid of the smell. Because of that i use the washroom at the end of the corridor (there are a total of 4 bathrooms). And then at that bathroom there is a war brewing. Girls and guys have separated their bathroom due to complaints about each other's bad habit. This is the guy's bathroom. As you can see it says, "Penises' Washroom".
And the other washroom says, "Vaginas' washrooms (and Jian)" Apparently I got a vagina -_-

Then there is the whole missing food scandal that require Bucci (the don) to take some measures.
"The floor has gone missing, if this persists the Don will take action to stop this from happening in the future"

But it wasn't much of a use.Lol.

I'll also miss people leaving messages on my door.

Gatehouse, Phoenix for life.

Long-distance has been tough for Serena and me. I wish someone would write a book on how to get through it and come up with a magic fix. We are more sensitive and things are harder, but disagreement after disagreement we are still together (: And 2 more months and 10 days till i see you again. Love you.

Of Interview and Ice Hockey

Finally had my JP Morgan Chase & Co. telephone interview today. it was suppose to be yesterday but due to a series of unfortunate events it was postponed to today.
The guy went easy on me I think, he mainly focus on basic questions like where are you studying, when are you coming back, etc?
Hehehe, he was kinda confuse with my whole exchange thing. He thought I was in Australia and he got a shock when i told him it will take me 2 days to fly back.

He just asked me a few finance questions and a little about JP Morgan Chase and what do i expected out of it.
So now, i will be awaiting my forms which i have to fill up so they could run a background check on me to see whether i am a potential terrorist (:
Keeping my finger's crossed, hopefullyeverything goes smoothly.

When To see Ice Hockey last Sunday and i must say it was intense!
Brutal knocks and trips. Damn referee, why must you break-up so many potential fights when we the crowd were chanting "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!"

Thats the Marlies Mascot!

The game, we lost 3-4. It seems that every game i watch, the team that i support always end up losing.

Merchandises from the game. Hockey Shirt, Finger and cheering kit.

Zaheer from UAE found something useful to do with them.
He is trying to compensate for something-_- Thank goodness he doesn't know i blog.

PS:Thank you dear, for calming me down and giving me words of encouragement for my telephone interview <3
